So, what’s great about Munich?
You won’t find a grand harbour with large ships and the monarchy sold Bavaria to the Germans and moved out ages ago. What you may find however, is a lively city, a city fit for kings. Safe, wide, tree strewn streets and a public transport system that is the envy of many other cities, and that, just a stones throw away from one of the 8th natural wonders of the world, the Alps. The fairy tale castle Neuschwanstein (slightly to the left of the Alps) was one of the runners up in this years vote for the new wonders of the world. You should visit the Olympic Park which held the 1972 games. It’s still in daily use, holding sporting events and regular big name concerts.
